![]() ![]() You seem to have a good handle on this so far! Plus, preclinical is ideal for this type of thing because you're not getting taught ad hoc in the hospital and your resources are fairly centralised, so you know your facts are 'accurate'. If you have powerpoints etc, make them into cards. I'd focus on the content your medical school offers - I'm a UK 4th year, and I know none of our exams are standardised (except the new finals coming in 2023? 2024?). Has anyone had any experience of using exclusively Anki for studying and nothing else? (asides from lectures for actually learning the material initially) It rarely takes me longer than an hour to get through all of my cards. The thing is, Anki makes me feel like I'm not doing much. The questions I got wrong, I mostly just didn't know them, and I attribute that to making poor Anki cards early in the year plus being a bit scared of making too many cards (not really worried about this anymore). But again, the questions I struggled with, I've made them into Anki cards. ![]() I also recently did some mock exams which were very helpful. Although probably not optimal, at least it is getting into my brain now. So I've ended up turning them into Anki cards. I made some practise questions for some of our Ethical/Law/Sociology lectures that we have seperate exams for, that I didn't think Anki would be effective for but I found myself not getting around to them. Anki, I do every single day, and I mostly enjoy it to be honest, and have found it very effective so far. This question has been on my mind lately, with exams coming up, I find myself getting very lazy with other forms of studying. ![]() I'm a 1st year med student in the UK and I've been using Anki since day 1 with a fairly even split of making my own cards and using pre-made decks.
